Irene Froy EFIAP MPAGB |
|
Irene has enjoyed photography since she was a schoolgirl. A past member of Dundee PS, Shillington & DCC and Hitchin CC, Irene chose Wellington for her retirement especially so that she could join Wrekin Arts PC. An elected member of the London Salon since 1996, Irene holds EFIAP and MPAGB as well as the prestigious J S Lancaster Medal (HonPAGB) awarded for exceptional service to photography.
She has recently relinquished her FRPS by resigning from the RPS. Irene has exhibited widely as well as lecturing throughout Great Britain. Irene is mainly a landscape photographer but that ranges from the wide to the intimate detail and she is often tempted into other subjects simply by the weather conditions. Now restricted in her walking abilities due to illness she relies heavily on husband Gerry to get the car where she wants the picture!
Irene is still fired with enthusiasm and cannot imagine a life without photography. She enjoys sharing her knowledge to help others to achieve their capabilities. She is always on the look out for that creative imagination which takes a member into the higher reaches of photography and will always try to nurture it when she sees that spark of enthusiasm.
